Calabria
Calabria is the southernmost region of Italy, which is separated from Sicily just by the straight of Messina. Its 800km long coast lapped by the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas boasts a combination of sandy beaches and rocky coves where you can experience unforgettable swimming in the turquoise water whilst contemplating the views of the green backdrop to the different bays. The blue skies and radiant sun of Calabria provides a stunning background to the carpets of Mediterranean plants and flowers of the region.
The most beautiful and visited area of Calabria is Tropea, Pizzo and Capo Vaticano, which you can reach from the airport of Lamezia Terme not more than an hour. Tropea is the so called pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea, offering many possibilities for a wonderful vacation. Capo Vaticano has gorgeous bays, with many different types of beach.
From the coast of Calabria you can reach the Lipari Islands in about 2 hours navigation. You can step on an island Stromboli, which is even today an active vulcan, on the Island of Vulcano you can have a bath in the sulfur tub, on Lipari you can have a nice little walk in the tiny streets, or you can even choose to get to know closer the 7 islands from the ship.
